Zaantars are non-humanoid souls whose natural forms are composed of sacred geometric patterns. In their parallel universe, their home base aligns with the region corresponding to the Triangulum Galaxy. Because the Dal's territory neighbored theirs, the two groups frequently collaborated on advanced development projects, blending the Zaantars' mastery of geometry and grid architecture with the Dal’s technological expertise.
During the Orion Wars, the Reptilian Empire conducted large-scale weapons tests, similarly to the detonation of atomic bombs in our own WWII era. These destructive experiments inadvertently tore a rift in the fabric of space-time. The test site happened to overlap with a parallel universe where a joint Dal-Zaantar project ship was operating.
The explosion generated a portal so powerful that it pulled the massive Dal starship, along with its Zaantar passengers, out of their native dimension and into ours. The displaced ship reemerged near Aldebaran in the Taurus constellation, where the crew eventually found refuge. However, the rift’s instability posed a catastrophic threat. As more ships coming on rescue missions got pulled in, concern raised that the tear was beginning pulling in nearby Dal planetary bodies, including their moons.
