The Delana are better known as “The Star Doctors.” This unique group hails from the constellation Delphinus. They are known for extending the life of red/white dwarf stars, specifically ones hosting intelligent life. On the Kardashev scale, the Delana are between Type 1 and Type 2 civilization. So even though they could technically master sustaining the energy of their star, they choose not to. Instead, they prolong dying stars’ lives in an effort to buy time for life on nearby planets to evacuate.

The Constellation of Delphinus.

The Delana actually feel it’s somewhat cruel to keep a star alive for too long. They feel that stars have their own souls, and to keep a soul trapped in a body forever goes against our universe’s ecosystem.

The Earth equivalent would be a person’s consciousness being automatically uploaded to a new and younger body, from an old broken body, (without its consent). Although souls like to reincarnate, back to back human experiences for eternity (without a say) can be similar to that of a prison. Several humans already feel they are slaves to Earth’s economic system, and Earth is already over populated as it is. So while some people may think living forever as a human could be incredible, others argue they would rather reincarnate into a different experience that is more aligned with mother nature.
