The Martian starseeds are the spiritual and genetic descendants of the exiled Maldekians, a resilient people born from war, betrayal, and survival. Their origin traces back to the Orion Wars, where Maldekians served on both sides as soldiers, double agents, smugglers, and translators. Some were spies for the Empire, while others fought with the Alliance.
Generations later, a catastrophic weapons test collapsed Maldek from within. Only a few starships were prepared for evacuation. In the chaos, mostly feminine souls and a few male leaders escaped before oblivion swallowed their planet. Their destination became Mars, which at that moment held better atmospheric conditions and more available resources than Maldek.
Arriving on Mars, the survivors were eager to shed the stigma of exile. They no longer wanted to be known as Maldekians. They renamed themselves Martians and began building a new society with a foundation of wisdom, caution, and healing. They constructed underground habitats, cultivated sustainable life systems, and mined Martian resources to rebuild infrastructure.
